The Mahila Sakti Empowered Women project serves mothers, widowed and single women by providing training and skills that nurture and support independence through dressmaking and tailoring programs.
The Little Hearts School is a project that provides equal education without discrimination to the poorest of the poor children. The school for boys and girls of all ages serves community members who cannot afford state run schools as well as all of the Safe Homes orphanage children. All the young learners receive good healthy meals so they are nourished on all levels.
Health and Healing Herbs
Collaborating with a German organisation MEEDS volunteers are being trained on the use of local herbs for natural healing and good health. Many of the herbs with powerful healing and wellness benefits have been planted in our sustainable gardens
Safe Homes for Children provide a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned children. Orphans of all ages, who were on the street are permanently housed, educated and fed in Safe Homes for Children.
The vast majority of the food for the orphanage, feeding programs, school and MEEDS staff are grown locally in sustainable food gardens using traditional and sustainable growing ways. Good harvests come from utmost respect for the land that is always replenished and cared for.
