Mahila Sakti Tailoring Project for Empowered Women Help empower single and widowed women in Andhra Pradesh by sponsoring a sewing machine. The tailoring project Mahila Sakti serves empoverished single and widowed women by providing training in dress making and tailoring.
By sponsoring a machine (approx. $100US per machine) you help provide training for several women, a source of income for single mother families and a long term solution to the cause of various poverty related social issues.
Once the training workshop has been fully kitted with enough sewing machines, machines will be loaned/rented to women who qualify from the course.
100% of your donation will be used towards the purchase of a sewing machine. You may initiate a wire transfer with your bank for transfer of funds into the MEEDS account in India.
